Fringe or not? Find the right fringe for your head shape

Many women know the urge to change their look. And what could be better than a new, different haircut or a new colour? Exactly, nothing except a fringe. But not all fringes are the same - we'll tell you what types there are and which fringe hairstyle flatters you the most!

The right fringes for every face shape

"Your face is far too round for fringes, it'll look weird" or "Are you sure you want a forehead fringe, it'll look special with your face shape - are you sure it'll work?" - All women have probably had to put up with questions like these when thinking about getting a new hairstyle.

Of course, these are all legitimate objections and the shape of the face plays a major role in such a decision, but there is a suitable fringe for (almost) every face shape!

Fringes are the true quick-change artists and create a completely new style. Does a fringe haircut suit you too? Find out!

Fringes with a round face - that's how stylish it can be!

Unfortunately, a straight fringe doesn't do much for a round face. The face looks smaller and loses expression - but that doesn't mean you can't wear fringes with a round face. A side-swept fringe that doesn't cover the entire forehead visually lengthens the face and automatically makes it look slimmer.

By the way: Voluminously styled forehead fringes flatter the round face shape enormously.

The heart-shaped face with a fringed look

The heart-shaped face is wider at the forehead and narrows towards the chin. A side-swept fringe can make the face appear narrower and thus create an enormous change in style. What is particularly important with this face shape is that the fringe is not cut too short. The rule of thumb is "at least to the eyebrows", otherwise the forehead and eye area will appear even wider.

Insider tip: Slight layers give this cut even more playfulness and ensure a styling full of lightness!

The oval face - perfect for fringe fans

Women with an oval face shape can rejoice, because they have the perfect face shape for a casual fringe! Whether fringed, micro or long - it all fits and always looks stylish!

Long face and fringes?

Long fringes are the key to success, or rather the key to a stylish look with fringes! Slightly longer fringes cut at eye level visually shorten the face, and if you then style the forehead fringe in a nice voluminous style, you not only set stylish accents, but also give your face a completely new shape.

The angular face in a fringe look

Casual fringes can give a square face shape more lightness and bounce. Cut at a slight angle and with layers, a fringe can become a true prodigy. The hair falls easily and flatters your face.

Pony looks with curls

Not all curls are the same - they come in all kinds of variations. From casual beach waves to soft undone curls and corkscrew curls, they can all be perfectly styled into fringes. And the best thing is, here we show you the perfect tools and products for easy, quick and great fringe styling!

Straight hair and fringed splendour

There are so many different great fringe looks with straight hair and we love them all. But to make sure your hair is not only straight, but also shiny, voluminous and stylish, you should take a closer look at these products.

Our insider tip for fringe wearers

Unfortunately, bad hair days also exist for all fringe wearers. So it's quite possible that there will be a day when your fringe just won't stay in place. There's only one thing to do - you'll need a straightener. If you try a conventional straightener, you won't be happy for long, because straighteners are designed to style hair from the roots to the ends. The heating plates are wider and usually just too wide for fine fringe styling. Mini stylers are therefore perfect for styling short hair with precision.

On the way to your new hairstyle

We could well understand if, after all this inspiration, you wanted to do it yourself, but we'd rather protect you from that. Fringes are not that easy to cut yourself and a lot can go wrong. So don't hesitate, make an appointment at one of our Perfecthair salons and let the professionals advise you. We are certain that nothing will stand in the way of your dream fringes!
