Who doesn't know the crepe from the 80s and 90s? Trends are known to repeat themselves and we asked ourselves how this hairstyle could be achieved with today's modern tools. We followed the trend and came across BaByliss and tested three different crimping irons from the brand for you

The Mermaid Styling

- Divide your hair into sections to make styling the whole head a little easier and to see exactly where you have left hair out. We always start from the bottom and work our way up to the top hair.
- Unlike the Mermaid Hair curling iron, the hair is not twisted, but clamped into the curling iron and heated in this way. Once you have finished styling a section, continue along the strand of hair to the tip. You need to be careful here so that you stay in the "course of the wave" to avoid unsightly transitions. But as they say: practice makes perfect!
- Let your hair cool down a little before gently fluffing it up with a comb.

Are we convinced?
We carried out a proper waving iron test and tested all BaByliss waving irons for their application and end result. We are thrilled!
Even though the waving irons are heavy, they were very easy to use. All three fit well in the hand and the hair is easy to clamp. The hair type is important when choosing a waving iron. Medium to thicker hair in particular is ideal for these tools, as they are a little grippier and hold a little better in the clamp.
Nonetheless, we think the mermaid look with the BaByliss Pro waving irons is a cool alternative to the now classic beach waves look and we are impressed by the price-performance ratio.
