treaclemoon stands for fragrances as colourful as life. Adventurous, colourful and with a great sense of humour, our products are true masters of good humour.
The name treaclemoon is a combination of the two English words treacle and moon. treacle means syrup and stands for the velvety-luxurious textures and irresistible fragrances of the brand. The moon symbolises the happy and carefree worlds that treaclemoon wants to take you to every day.
100% vegan
No animal testing & no animal ingredients or additives (in processed or unprocessed form) - that is our promise to you. treaclemoon has therefore also been verified by PETA as an animal-free company.
No microplastics & synthetic polymers
You've probably heard of "microplastics" before. Often the term is used in a blanket way, because it is a very complex issue. We would like to bring a little light into the darkness:
- Microplastics
There is no generally valid definition of "microplastic". The Federal Environment Agency (UBA) currently understands it to mean "plastic particles that are five millimetres and smaller." "This definition refers to solid, water-insoluble particles," says the UBA. We say NO to these particles. In our body scrubs, for example, we use natural raw materials as rubbing grains such as coconut shell and apricot kernels.
- Synthetic polymers
Besides water-insoluble microplastic particles, there are also water-soluble particles. They are called synthetic polymers. They are part of liquids, waxes or gels and are used in personal care products as stabilisers or thickeners to ensure product quality and safety at the same time. So far, synthetic polymers have not been detected in water bodies and yet: we do not use these substances and we do so in such a way that the usual quality of treaclemoon's favourite fragrances does not have to suffer.
